During my residency at the Piccolo Teatro Libero in Brescia, I learned more about the study of sound production and movement processes in Métron Extended. I laid the groundwork for a dramaturgical idea of the work in relation to the use of vocal synthesis as a tool for controlling the performer's movements and as a training environment.

1-10 july 2021 resident artist @Tempo Reale (Firenze) with Métron Extended

During residency at
Tempo Reale I focused on the development of Karen, a speech synthesis algorithm controlled by smartphone
via motion sensors . The study is aimed at the development of Métron Extended: a concert for an athlete-musician, 35 percussion cymbals and speech dispositor. The concert consists of a training session between sound action and art du déplacement.

During my residency at Teatro Grande (Brescia-Italy), I focused my research on microphonic shooting systems and headphone audio delivery, both for the performer and the audience. Voice commands, previously addressed only to the performer, were extended to the audience as well. In this version of Métron, voice synthesis interweaves and dialogues with the human voice, recalling a science fiction sound imagery.
